It all started back in 2003. I wanted to have a nice stained glass piece to give to my new wife for our first Christmas together. But as a newly married couple, money was tight, and the quotes I was getting were beyond my budget. So I did the next best thing – went to a hobby store and bought some glass, a how to book, and the bare minimum for tools and supplies that I could.
I found that I really enjoyed doing stained glass work! So I did a panel for my dad based on a photograph of us heading out on our Mississippi River Expedition.
In 2013, I began dabbling in glass sculpture. It turns out I love working with molten glass as much as with cold glass!
This led to getting a kiln, which opened up a whole new world of warm glass. Slumping and fusing. The result was a rapid expansion of Bluefeather Glass!
